Material: Diagonally braided from pure graphite yarn with a minimum purity of 99%, treated with corrosion inhibitor and pure graphite powder.
Properties: High performance packing for pumps and valves, primarily intended for high pressure-high temperature steam valves and similar difficult sealing applications. Caters for a wide range of aggressive media at both very low and very high temperatures; low coefficient of friction for low torque operation; excellent thermal conductivity.
Application areas: This extremely versatile packing can be used for pumps and valves in the high temperature / high pressure environments prevailing in power stations, boiler houses, petrochemical refineries, steel mills and similar industries.
Application media: Steam, water, oils, condensate, alkalies, acids, solvents, paints, varnishes and most chemicals with the exception of highly oxidizing media.
Advantages: Suitable for an extremely wide range of applications, TEADIT 2001 can reduce stock inventories considerably. Very little loss of volume at high temperatures. Because of its low density, style 2001 yields more metres per kilogram !
Not suitable for: Highly oxidizing agents.
