Material: The Teadit packing ring-set RS 66 TA-L is made up from three different styles of packings. This combination results in an very low leakage rate combined with high operational safety, excellent mechanical strength as well as quick and easy installation. The top and bottom rings are made from our patented EW-K yarn, which combines the chemical resistance of PTFE with the mechanical strength of Aramid. These rings have the very low coefficient of friction of PTFE and are therefore not shaft scoring, while the Aramid core of the yarn prevents extrusion and a reduction of the assembly pressure. Aramid yarn in combination with a special lubricant based on Graphite is the material from which the internal rings are constructed. Finally, the middle ring, made from pure PTFE fibre, completes the combination of packing rings that provide optimum performance and reliability.
Properties: Because of the construction as a combination of open rings, the packing ring-set RS 66 TA-L can be installed quickly and easily without disassembling the valve. Because of the high mechanical strength of the EW-K yarn used, no live-loading is necessary.
Application areas: The Teadit packing ring-set RS 66 TA-L is ideal for all applications which require exceptional chemical resistance, high mechanical strength and extremely low leakage rates.
Not suitable for: Molten alkali metals, fluorine compounds at high temperature and high pressure
